My name is Sydney Johnson.

I am a mother of a beautiful baby girl, Teagan, who was born in November. I am figuring out this “motherhood” thing one day at a time. Teagan is a great baby. When I say she’s a great baby, I mean she is a GREAT baby! She sleeps through the night… since she was one month old. She isn’t colic and only cries when she needs something like the basics, diaper, food, sleep. She enjoys naps in her swing and loves car rides. She is also PRECIOUS!

I am the wife to an amazing man, Ricky. We got married in March of 2018. What to say about my husband… Well, I will start with, he is amazing. I SO lucked out. He has more patience that any other person I know, which is good because I have none. He is so kind. He won’t ever speak an ill word about me, except for to my face because let’s be real, there are ill things to be said about me. He loves with his entire heart. He makes sure, in every instant, that we are all happy. I don’t know how he is constantly thinking of the family, but he does!

I am a fur mama to my crazy boys, Obi and Kylo. Yes, they are named after Obi Wan Kenobi and Kylo Ren from Star Wars. We couldn’t resist! Obi is an Australian Shepherd. He is the protector of the family. Kylo is an Aussiedoodle and he is our goofball. He is so damn clumsy and not the brightest, which we find adorable.

I am a Data Clerk for a school system. While, this is not my dream job, it does allow me to have a predicable schedule and steady pay. Once Teagan becomes old enough to begin school, this is when it will really pay off. I will have the same breaks and close to the same hours as her. Perfect job for a mother. But, it doesn’t pay much, if I’m being honest, and it isn’t exciting. So, that’s why I created this website. I get to share my passions, one of which is writing.

I attended Brenau University where I studied Mass Communications with a Journalism concentration. I know what you are thinking, well that is perfect for what you are wanting to do. Yup! I thought so too! Now, when I received my degree, did I envision myself writing a blog as an attempt for a side gig, no I did not. But, at the time I was a volleyball coach and dreamed of coaching at the collegiate level. Man, I am far away from that dream now.

I have learned that dreams change.

So, what is my current dream?

Honestly, I want to do what I love and be paid to do it. Seems simple enough, but it definitely isn’t. I have spent the several months trying to narrow in on exactly how to do that. I still do not have a complete grasp on how to do so, but I know I won’t be able to achieve my dream if I don’t try.

So, here is my attempt at pouring my heart into what I love. You all are a part of my dream and I thank you deeply for that.

Until next time,
